Clinical Director/Therapist

Mod graduated from Smith College with a B.A. in Comparative Literature. After participating in several experiential and outdoor educational programs; including a NOLS semester in Patagonia, Chile Mod pursued her love of outdoor education and experiential learning by becoming a field instructor at SUWS youth and adolescent programs in Idaho. There, she discovered her passion for working with at-risk youth and continued on to earn her MSW from Portland State University. Mod began specializing in working with adolescent girls while in Portland, Oregon, helping to establish and develop a non-profit organization supporting the health, welfare, and education of girls, as well as working with adolescent girls and their families in a variety of settings. She continued to work exclusively with adolescent girls as a therapist at SUWS programs in Idaho and remains committed to working with girls in a wilderness setting. Mod has lived in Switzerland and Chile and enjoys traveling, cooking, and hiking. She is certified in CPI, WFR, and CPR.
